Information You Submit
Search entries such as a name, telephone number, or address are sent to the outside provider that supplies results; our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains the information you choose to include and is used to answer that message.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host may maintain routine server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and times. We review this in aggregate to operate the service and understand page use. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to run the reference, diagnose problems, measure overall traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to county or state portals, libraries, archives, and outside search tools. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted after you leave our service, including information entered into sponsored-result tools.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support vendors process routine logs for us. Analytics or advertising vendors may receive the technical data described above. Information is also disclosed where valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Since no accounts are offered, we do not hold account passwords or user profiles.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from a person under 18; contact us if you believe that happened so the information can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
New Jersey's consumer privacy law, P.L.2023, c.266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., describes rights that may apply to covered private processing, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain opt-outs. Because we keep little direct data, a request generally involves our contact mailbox and operational logs. Use the Contact page to ask. A valid public deed, tax record, court item, or voter record is controlled by its government custodian, not this reference, and requests about it must go to that office.
Updates to This Policy
We post policy revisions here. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
